Join us as we visit Matlock for Market day & Bakewell.Our first port of call, is Matlock. Once famed for its hydro and spa treatments, Matlock's central location, scenic surroundings and public transport links make it a popular base for a great day out. There are plenty of things to do in Matlock. In the heart of Matlock sits Hall Leys Park with its boating lake, riverside walks, tennis courts and skateboard park. In Matlock town centre there are pretty streets full of small, independent shops, and a host of cafés, pubs and restaurants in which to relax. You will find Matlock's Outdoor Market at Hall Leys Park, which is held every Wednesday.After a bit of shopping, we head north to Bakewell. Idyllically situated on the banks of the river Wye, the biggest town in the Peak District National Park's mellow stone buildings, medieval five-arched stone bridge and quaint courtyards are a magnet for painters, photographers and sightseers alike. Legend has it that the town's famous Bakewell Pudding was created by mistake by a local cook in the mid-19th century. Today her delectable 'jam tart that went wrong' can be sampled at various bakeries and cafés and posted virtually anywhere in the world!

Coed-y-Dinas has both a Country Store and a Garden & Home Centre; a vast array of products, from footwear and cooking utensils through to tools and camping, all at great prices.After our break at Charlie's, we continue our journey to Aberdovey. Aberdovey is a thriving little harbour resort set within the Snowdonia National Park, where the river Dyfi meets the blue waters of Cardigan Bay. Aberdovey boasts some of the finest beaches in Britain with four miles of golden sand-dune backed shoreline running north to Tywyn.
